What are the differences between LAN MAN WAN?
LAN (local area network)
A group of computers that share a common connection and are usually in a small area or even in the same building. For example an office or home network. They are usually connected by Ethernet cables and have high speed connections. If it was a wireless setup it would be called a WLAN, which would have a lower connection speed.
MAN (metropolitan area network)
This is a larger network that connects computer users in a particular geographic area or region. For example a large university may have a network so large that it may be classified as a MAN. The MAN network usually exist to provide connectivity to local ISPs, cable TV, or large corporations. It is far larger than a LAN and smaller than a WAN. Also large cities like London and Sydney, Australia have metropolitan area networks.
WAN (wide area network)
This is the largest network and can interconnect networks throughout the worldand is not restricted to a geographical location. The Internet is an example of a worldwide public WAN. Most WANs exist to connect LANs that are not in the same geographical area. This technology is high speed and very expensive to setup.

MEDAN
Medan is
the capital city of North Sumatera province in Indonesia. Medan is
the third largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta and
Surabaya. It is close to the volcano Sinabung,
which erupted in last week ago. With a population of around 12 million
people, the people of this region can be divided into five main ethnic groups
and languages: The coastal Malays, the Bataks, the Angkola or Mandailing of the southern Tapanuli, and
the Nias.
These groups each have religious beliefs, arts, custom and cultures. Several
other ethnic groups also live in Medan and other towns of North Sumatra, the
largest of these being Chinese and Indian.
There are many old buildings in Medan that still retain their Dutch
architecture. These include the old City Hall, the central Post Office, the
Water Tower, which is Medan City’s icon, and Titi Gantung (a bridge over the railway). There are
several historic places such as Maimun Palace (Istana Maimun),
where the Sultan of Deli still lives, and the Great Mosque (Masjid Raya) of
Medan built in 1906.
One of the unique features of Medan are the motorized pedicab that
are found almost everywhere. Unlike traditional pedicabs, a motorized pedicabs can
take its passenger anywhere in the city. The fare of riding a pedicabs is
relatively cheap and is usually negotiated beforehand. There are also more
common transport like taxi and
minibuses, known as sudako. The
main airport in this region is Kuala Namu International Airport. There are daily
flights between Medan, most major cities in Indonesia, and also
abroad.
Sumatra food is famous for being spicy and cuisine from North Sumatra is no
different.
When you’re in town, try local dishes like Chicken Rice, Medan Kweetiaow and
others. Most of the dishes here are influenced by Malay, Chinese and Indian
culture. While in Berastagi,
make sure to visit traditional markets and sample the exotic fruits. A glass of
marquisa
syrup will quench your thirst, and it can be consumed hot or cold. This is also
a perfect souvenir for your loved ones.

Operating System
What is Operating System?
The Operating System (OS) of a computer is the complex software that actually controls the input, output and storage devices of the computer, as well as acting as an interface between the user and any other software that is installed.
Example of Operating System?
Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows NT, LINUX and UNIX are different operating systems that can be used to control computers.
What Can Operating System Does?
1. Managing the priorities for each programming task that is running
2. Allocating and keeping track of the memory used for storing programs and data
3. Managing the transfer of data between memory and the backing store
4. Handling input operations from the user and from other input system
5. Handling output operations
6. Managing the system security
Graphical User Interface
sometimes called a WIMP interface (Windows, Icons, Menus, Pointer) The contents of folders (directories) and the output from programs are displayed in rectangular 'windows' which can be moved. Icons (small pictures) are used to represent files or software and the mouse can be used to move the icons, run programs and select options from the menus.
Features of a good GUI?
1. Items are placed in similar positions on different screens.
2. Navigation between screens is easy and consistent with an escape route available to return to a main screen.
3. Text should be easy to read for all users.
Command Line Interface
commands are typed directly into the computer and then the enter button is pressed to run them. The commands must be entered correctly and are often abbreviated. They can be difficult to remember. Example: c:>copy c:\examplefile.doc a: This command would copy a file called 'examplefile.doc' from the hard drive (drive C) to a floppy disk (drive A).

Rumus Bangun Ruang Tabung
Pengertian Tabung
Tabung adalah bangun ruang yang diatasi oleh dua sisi yang kongruen dan sejajar yang berbentuk lingkaran serta sebuah sisi lengkung.
Ciri - Ciri Tabung
1. Mempunyai 2 rusuk
2. Alas dan tutusnya berupa lingkaran
3. Mempunyai 3 bidang sisi (bidang alas, bidang selimut dan bidang tutup)
Gambar Tabung
Keterangan:
r = jari-jari tutup/alas tabung
t= tinggi tabung
Jenis - Jenis Rumus Tabung
Volume tabung = luas alas x tinggi
Luas alas = luas lingkaran = πr2
Volume tabung = π r 2 t
Keliling lingkaran alas/tutup = 2πr
Luas Selimut= 2πrt
Luas Permukaan Tabung = 2 x luas alas + Luas selimut tabung
Luas Permukaan Tabung = 2 (π r 2 )+ 2 π r t = 2 π r ( r + t )
Penyelesaian:
Diketahui: d = 50 cm, r = 25 cm
t = 70 cm
ditanyakan: Luas permukaan panci ?
Jawab:
Luas panci = 2 x phi x r (r + t)
= 2 x 3,14 x 25 (25 + 70 )
=157 x 95
= 14915 cm3
Jadi luas bahan yang diperlukan untuk membuat panci itu adalah 14915 c,m3
